I'm running a writing competition at the moment - just a line, paragraph, however much you want, on what makes KMD special for you.
Here's Emma's answer (not their real name).
"I've always had a 'thing' for lingerie, there's just something so addictive to me about those intimate items of clothing. From someone who has numerous issues with their body image, there's something about lingerie that just makes it slightly better. The cut of those lace Brazilian knickers, or the lift of that plunge bra - there's something that just makes me forget how I much I dislike the other areas of my body. Call it an ego boost, I don't care, it makes me feel good and look better. I love knowing that I'm wearing a sexy set of underwear under plain clothing. Can he see the outline of the suspender straps through my dress? Probably not - my boyfriend of all people isn't that observant. But I know they're there, and I know he'll be VERY observant as soon as this dress comes off. And that knowing gives me that extra boost, that extra wiggle in my walk and an extra inch to the smile on my face.
Don't get me wrong, as much as I love being told how good I look in my lingerie collection, it's not about what everyone else thinks - it's about how it makes me feel. I'm suddenly confident and sexy, and ready to take on the world. And that's what I love about Kiss Me Deadly, every single piece is screaming 'come on world, let's have it! I'm a sexy and confident woman, and I can take what ever you throw at me!'. I love that the models often look like heroes (like Robin Hood and a dragon slayer), it says to me that we can be these strong characters too, you just need a little extra to take you there and obviously lingerie does that for a lot of us. I just love the care, and the time, and the passion put into everything KMD does. It's empowering, yet personal. And I love it. Although I can't say I own many KMD pieces, it's still one of my favourite lingerie brands and I'm forever checking the store (and I actually read the emails!).
