Van Mimi
This style was inspired by a haute couture bra from the 50s. Made from eyelash and floral lace with satin contour panelling, it featured a velvet ribbon lace up effect.
The midi bra lace-skirted basque had underwired, lined lace cups with padded satin sides, waist shaping reinforcement, and velvet ribbon trim. The basque also had a lace skirt, plastic boning and six detachable suspender straps.
The matching deep suspender belt had six wide straps and a centre non-stretch panel criss crossed with velvet ribbon, while the matching lace brief and thong had the same effect at the rear. We also added a lace short sleeved bolero – but we have to admit we’ve mostly been wearing these on evenings out!
This set came in sizes 32-36 B-DD and 38C-DD for the bra and the basque, and S, M, L and XL for the other items, and was a limited edition that has long since sold out.
For this set of pictures, we used a fencing theme and our competition asked what hero traditionally fenced his way out of situations – Morgana used him as inspiration for our image of her fighting herself. The answer was Zorro!
